The State Bank of Pakistan has officially announced the Asaan Mobile Account (AMA) opening facility through android mobile phone with the collaboration of SBP and PTA. The AMA platform has been launched under the National Financial Inclusion Strategy (NFIS) that aims to facilitate general masses, especially the low income segments, to digitally open their BB accounts and use the available financial services in a swift, easy and affordable manner.

How To Open Asaan Bank Account
If you have already existing branchless bank account then you can open AMA account very easily and quickly. You can follow the guideline to open new asan bank account;
1). Dial *2262#
Dial the short code to access AMA platform.
2). Select “Register for Asaan Mobile Account”
Choose the relevant option to open a new account.
3). Select your preferred bank
Scroll through the menu to select your preferred bank from the list
4). Enter CNIC number
Upon prompt, enter you CNIC number without dashes.
Enter CNIC issuance date
Enter your CNIC issuance date listed on your computerized identity card.
Provide consent & accept the Terms and Conditions
Provide necessary approvals and authorization as prompted on the screen.
Generate your PIN
Set up a secret PIN that you will use for AMA transactions.
Validate the PIN
Re-enter the PIN you have set up for your account for validation.
Receive confirmation of successful account activation on your screen
Bank will also send an SMS confirming that the account status along with details of helpline and advice to conduct BVS within 60 days of account opening.
How To Link AMA Account with Branchless Bank (BB)
You can easily linking your AMA account with branchless bank just after reading the instructions given below;
Dial *2262#
Dial *2262# to access Asaan Mobile Account (AMA) platform. Each customer can link maximum one account.
Select “Request to link existing bank account”
Select link existing bank account option.
Choose your bank
Select your preferred bank from the given list. To see list of additional banks, select More.
Enter your account & CNIC number
Enter your bank account number and CNIC number.
Enter account PIN
Enter you bank account PIN number.
Select Yes to provide account authorization
Enter you bank account pin number. You will then receive an SMS upon successful transfer.
Receive confirmation of successful account linking on your screen
Bank will send an SMS confirming the account linking along with details of helpline.
How To Send Money Transaction Between Banks
You can send your money through asaan bank account from same bank or other banks and perform easy transaction by following guidelines;
Dial *2262#
The customer will be directed to account services menu.
Select the option to send money
Select the option to send money from the AMA services menu.
Select “Same Bank” or “Other Bank”
Select “Same Bank” if receiver has bank account in same bank as sender. Otherwise “Other bank” if receiver has bank account in another bank different from sender’s bank.
Select “Receiver Bank Name”
Select your “receiver’s bank name” from the given list. To see list of additional banks, select More.
Enter “Account Number”
Enter bank account number of person who is receiving money.
Enter transfer amount
Enter amount to send or transfer to receiver.
Enter purpose of transaction
Select the relevant option that depicts the purpose for sending money.
Enter Account PIN
Enter you bank account pin number. You will then receive an SMS upon successful transfer.
Receive confirmation of transaction status on screen
Bank will send an SMS confirming the transaction status to the customer.
How To Pay Utility Bill Through AMA Account
The Asaan Bank Account also facilitate you to pay utility bills of electricity, gass, mobile etc. Please follow the instruction below;
Dial *2262#
The customer will be directed to account services menu.
Select “Bill Payment”
Select “Bill Payment” from menu.
Select bill type (gas, electricity, mobile top-up, etc)
Select your utility bill type (mobile top-up, telephone, gas electricity, etc.). To see list of additional bill types, select More.
Select your utility provider
Select your telecom provider (Jazz, Telenor, Zong, Ufone) or utility provider (MEPCO, K-Electric, LESCO, PTCL etc.).
Enter your consumer number
Enter you utility consumer number for bill payment or mobile number for top-up.
Enter amount
Enter the bill payment amount
Enter account PIN
After verifying your bill details/mobile top-up, enter you account pin to complete transaction.
Receive confirmation of bill payment on screen
Bank will send an SMS confirming the bill payment status to the customer
